HOUSE RULES: How games are settled

Tournaments:

The player can use his/her account with Real Deal Poker, to register for Poker tournaments. Tournaments offered may have a buy in and fee of monetary value, Poker Points, or both. Freeroll tournaments may be offered as well from time to time at Real deal Poker. In the case where the player will register in a non-freeroll tournament, the required buy-in, (poker points, cash or both), will be deducted from his/her player account at the time of registration. When the player finishes playing in a tournament he/she registered for, if he is eligible for a prize, according to that tournament’s prize structure and the player’s finishing position in that tournament, the prize will be credited to that player’s account.

Cash games:

Each player at Real Deal Poker, can use his player account to play in real money cash tables. The player will be able to transfer money from his player account, to the table he/she wishes to play at. Any winnings/losses from Game Play at Cash tables will be reflected to the player’s account balance.
All Games offered through Real Deal Poker, are settled and determined according to the Poker Game Rules.

HOUSE RULES: Game Cancellation Policy

Cash games:

If a poker hand (real money or play money) is cancelled before the outcome is decided (e.g. due to a technical failure), each player will be refunded the exact amount of money he had at the start of the hand that was cancelled. All betting actions that took place during the cancelled hand are voided.

All tournaments:

If a tournament is cancelled before it starts, all players who have registered will be refunded their buy-in and fee for that tournament.

If a tournament is cancelled after the tournament has started, but before the outcome has been decided (e.g. due to a technical failure):

  • Players who were already disqualified before cancellation will lose their buy in and entry fees, as usual.

  • For those players still in the tournament at the time of cancellation:

    • After tournament start and before all players are in the prize money: Those players still in the tournament at the end of the last hand will receive their buy in and fee for that tournament. Then, they will be given equal shares of 50% of the entire prize pool (minus refunded buy-ins), and the remaining 50% will be distributed according to players' chip count.

    • After tournament start and when all players are in the prize money: All players will get the next prize to be handed out - for example, if there are 32 players left when the tournament is cancelled, then everyone effectively gets the "32nd-place" prize. Then, the remainder of the prize money will be distributed according to players' chip count.

In the event where the cards displayed on your computer are different to the Game records on our Servers, the latter shall prevail. In all disputes in which a ruling, interpretation, clarification or intervention is required, all decisions made by RDP Management are final and binding.

HOUSE RULES: Play-Time Rules

Each player receives a set period to make his move. This period can vary from table to table but is normally 5 seconds to make his move in the blind/ante round and 20-30 seconds to make his move in the later betting rounds. If a player does not react in time, his cards are automatically folded and he is set as ‘sitting out'. To take part in further games, he must make his intentions known to the table by clicking on the ‘I am back' button. If a player is disconnected from the table, he is automatically given an additional time period to act so he can reconnect and make his move (this is normally set to 20 extra seconds).

top

HOUSE RULES: Disconnect-Protection Rules

If a player is disconnected and he does not reconnect before his time to act is over, in some cases, he can receive a ‘disconnect-protection' and his hand is classed as ‘technically all-in'. When this occurs, the player will not be able to make any further actions in the game, but his hand will take part in the showdown. The hand can only win any money bet before the player was ‘technically all-in' and will not qualify for any money bet after the player was disconnected.

To qualify for a disconnect-protection, the player must be playing on a limit cash-game table and have a disconnect-protection available on his account. When a disconnect-protection is used, it is deducted from his account. A player can request further disconnect-protections through the client or by emailing support. However, REALDEALPOKER reserves the right to restrict these as it sees fit.

HOUSE RULES: Split Pots

If two players have identical winning hands at the showdown, a split pot occurs.

In Texas Hold'em games, and Omaha games, if the pot does not split evenly between the players and there is an ‘odd' chip left, the player who made the last bet/raise in the river stage will receive the odd chip. If there was no bet in the river stage, the odd chip is awarded to the first player to the left of the dealer.

In Omaha Hi Lo games where there is both a high and a low winning hand, the pot is split as evenly as possible between the high and the low. If there is an odd chip, it is placed in the high portion of the pot. Both pot portions are then split as in Omaha games.

In 7 Card Stud games, if the pot does not split evenly between the players and there is an ‘odd' chip left, the player who made the last bet/raise in the game will receive the odd chip.

top

HOUSE RULES: The Cut of the Deck

In both cash tables and tournaments, the player who has the dealer button is given the option to ‘cut’ the deck. The player is given 10 seconds to decide if he/she will execute the cut or select the ‘no cut’ option. If a player on a cash table does not respond within the 10 seconds, he/she will be sat out of the game and if this happens 3 times in a row, the player will be removed from the table.
In tournament play, if a player does not respond within the 10 seconds by selecting to cut or the ‘no cut’ option, he/she will be sat out of the game, until the player clicks the ‘I am back’ button, to get back in the game.
